How can you live your best life with more time, more freedom, and better financial freedom? The answer could be to work on a “new” you by adopting the 4 Ps: pulsing, previewing, proximity, and practicing.
Work on the “new” you; rewrite the story of your life.
You can’t live your best life by remaining static; it’s really hard to grow when you are stuck in a comfort zone. Life continues to move forward, and we have to do the same. If you are not growing, you are not living. But, with the 4Ps, i.e., pulse, preview, proximity, and practice, it’s possible to be intentional and create a new you.
If you want to grow in life and in your business, follow these four principles:
1 Pulsing:
Pulsing through movement and exercise is the key to vitality. Pilates is a great workout: intense and challenging, with amazing results. But when you first start, it can be tough to get through the “pulsing.” Don’t allow quitting on yourself to be the story of your life. You may be sweating, aching, and ready to quit, even when the trainer tells you to keep going. Remember that this is essential for the new you.
It’s hard to motivate yourself when you’re alone, but with a trainer or coach, you can push yourself to new levels of success. Business coaches do the same thing! They play an important role in professional development, pushing you beyond your comfort zone and helping you achieve your goals. If you want to pulse harder in business and live your best life, seek out people who will encourage and motivate you.
When you’re in your comfort zone, it’s easy to stay there and not push yourself to grow. But if you want to succeed in business, you need to get out of your comfort zone and embrace pulsing. Find things in your business that you can change so you can expand and grow. This may mean working with people at a higher level or investing in a coach. Whatever your next step is, don’t let yourself stay stagnant. Use your passion to push yourself forward and live your best life.
2 Previewing:
If you knew that you could make $12,000 a month by posting reels and videos on social media, how much more would you go all-in? How much more urgent, vulnerable, and intentional would you be when you were posting? You would just keep posting, pulsing, pushing it out, and getting to those goals. Let go of fear and keep moving. Do it by moving fast. You move too fast to be frozen by fear. So look at your life, figure out what you want and where you can go, and move at breakneck speed. Just keep pushing and pulsing and posting to get to the life you “preview.”
3 Proximity:
Find mentors, colleagues, and peers who are doing what you want to do. Study their successes and spend time around them to learn from their experience. These people can inspire you, motivate you, teach you new things, and give you the support you need to achieve your goals.
The more time you spend around successful people, the more you will be driven to pulse, push, and grow toward being the new you.
4 Practice:
There’s no shortcut to becoming great at something; you have to be willing to put in the hard work and push yourself. Get out of your comfort zone, take risks, and don’t be afraid to fail. It’s only through taking chances that you’ll learn and grow. If you’re interested in doing short-form videos, just go for it! Be vulnerable, show up, and put yourself out there. Don’t hesitate when it comes to sharing the story of your life. You may not see results immediately, but that’s okay. The more you do, the better you’ll become. Eventually, you’ll reach the point of success.
Takeaway: How to live your best life
Think about the life you want. See it, feel it, and believe it. Seeing where you wish to reach will prevent you from falling prey to failure and becoming stuck by slowing your momentum. There is no shortcut to growing your life. You have to pulse, keep pushing, and find people who motivate and inspire you to live your best life.
Build a network of successful people to work with and around to enhance motivation and inspiration for growth. Practice is essential; you can’t get good at anything, let alone create a new you, without practice.
