To dream big, you have to set goals that are higher than what you think you can achieve at first. We all dream, be it of being rich, healthy, getting a better education, or wielding influence. We desire to spend more time with our children and loved ones. How can you make your vision a reality?

Dreaming big: How to set about turning dreams into reality

A dream is just that if you don’t act on it and bring it to reality. How can you fulfill your purpose and accomplish your goals? Dreaming big is a process that takes time and effort. However, it’s possible to turn your vision into reality through following these steps:

1. Identify your purpose.

What is it that you wish to achieve or accomplish? Before turning a dream into reality, you must know what that is. If it’s fuzzy, and not clear, your path to achieving that is going to be pretty tough. So understand what your vision really is.

2. Believe that it’s possible.

Have faith in your vision. If your resolution is to be healthier this year, but you don’t believe you can do it, how can you even be motivated to get healthy?

The Bible says that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Faith, or the belief that it can happen to you, is important. This is not like believing in Santa Claus and hoping for something that’s not true.

3. Set big goals.

Set lofty, ambitious goals for yourself and keep dreaming bigger. Your goals should challenge you and push you out of your comfort zone. Write your goals down and break them down into smaller, actionable steps.

4. Take action and keep dreaming big.

Take action toward your big goals. Start by taking small steps every day and gradually working your way towards dreaming bigger and achieving bigger milestones. Celebrate your successes along the way and use setbacks as opportunities to learn and grow.

5. Surround yourself with support.

Surround yourself with people who support and encourage you. Seek out mentors, coaches, or like-minded individuals who can provide guidance and support along the way.

6. Visualize success

Visualize yourself achieving your big goals. Imagine what it will feel like to achieve your goals and the positive impact it will have on your life and the lives of those around you.

Takeaway: Turning a dream into reality

It’s all about believing in what you can turn into reality. Hard work is absolutely part of your vision coming true. Hard work alone won’t get you there. You’ll also need strategy and the ability to pivot and adapt. If your goals are all over the place, how can you go in a straight line toward your dream?
