This year, change how you end it and bet on yourself. How you finish is how you start. You will finish the year either way, but the question is will you finish strong? Or will you coast through? At the end of the day, you are your own investor. You have to look at your calendar and approach every day as if you were an investor. For most of us, if we looked at what we actually spend our time on, chances are we wouldn’t invest in ourselves. 

Here are 5 ways to help you get ready for 2023:

Get clear on your vision. 

Start now, don’t wait until the new year. Before you can bet on yourself, you must know where you want to go. Give yourself an hour to sit down and write down your vision for next year and everything you want to manifest in your finances, relationships, business, health, etc. 

Create a game plan. 

Create an action plan and what steps you will need to take to accomplish your goals. Remember that you are investing in yourself, so make your goals worth it. 

Accountability. 

Don’t bet on yourself in secret. Find a friend, a community, a group – something to plug into where people are already growing in what you want to do and connect with them for support and accountability. 

Restriction. 

Create a list of all the people, places, and habits you will need to cut back on to create the space you need to focus and work on your vision. Remember, you are investing in yourself, so be honest about what you need to cut back on.

Understand your why. 

Write down all of the reasons that accomplishing your vision and your goal is important and why it matters to you. And then, write down what the cost will be if you don’t take action.

50% is in the thinking, 25% is in the planning, and 25% is in action. But all too often, we get in the bad habit of thinking and thinking some more and then just jumping into action, altogether skipping over any planning.
